Accessible PDFs is an initiative of BarrierBreak Technologies to provide services relating to creating Portable Document Formats (PDFs) that can be accessed by all, including persons with disabilities.
PDF is one of the most widely used formats for digitizing print material by organizations, educational institutes, and government portals. Vital information such as annual reports, admission procedure, loan details are provided in PDF formats.
In addition, PDF forms are widely used to accept user information such as, student application form, customer order form, or loan application form. As a result, it is imperative that these documents are accessible to the people with disabilities.
A large number of PDF files uploaded on website are not accessible. Some have content as scanned images; some are not readable by people using assistive technologies such as screen readers.
